Ricky Hatton’s Son Shares Emotional Tribute to His Deceased Dad
The boxing legend’s son Campbell expressed an emotional tribute via his first public message since his father’s passing.
Messages of condolence been shared around the boxing community and further afield after the loss of the ex- world champion titleholder, who passed away at his home recently at the age of forty-six.
“Words can’t express how I feel,” captioned his son with a set of personal pictures.
“Everyone always said I resembled your twin – not a more accurate word spoken. Forever idolized you in all aspect of life.”
He added: “There’s no way to put into words how much I’m going to miss the jokes we shared and each of the special memories, which I will remember forever. Simply can’t fathom we will never have any more. I love you, Dad.”
Area police stated that the athletic legend had been discovered on his property situated in Greater Manchester. Officials emphasized that there were not any unusual circumstances related to the situation.
Much like his dad, Campbell too pursued a career in professional fighting, taking his professional first appearance in recent years. He later retired from the competition earlier this year.
Shortly after, the loved ones of Hatton shared a message expressing that they were “profoundly touched” by the generous wave of affection and condolences shown their way.
“Our loved one was not only than a world champion. To us, he was just ‘Richard,’ our boy. A caring dad, elder, and sibling, and a true confidant to many people,” the message said.
“He carried a heart as generous as his smile, and his warmth, humour, and loyalty influenced each person blessed enough to meet him.
“To the rest of the world, Hatton will forever be remembered as one of the sport’s most iconic champions – a individual who gave everything inside the fights and wore his feelings on his outside.”
